Biography
17+ Years of Specialist Experience
Alice Lisitsa is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 17 years of specialist experience in flood and stormwater engineering. She founded Floodplan to deliver the kind of focused, technically rigorous advice that's only possible from a dedicated specialist practice — where every project receives senior-level attention from start to finish.
Alice's expertise spans flood impact assessment, hydraulic and hydrological modelling, stormwater management planning, WSUD design, and independent peer review. She has worked across major infrastructure, land development, and urban growth projects throughout Victoria and nationally, with deep experience navigating Melbourne Water approval processes and Victorian planning overlay requirements.
Outside of project work, Alice serves as President of both Stormwater Australia and Stormwater Victoria, leading national and state-level policy and advocacy for the sector. She contributes to the Melbourne Water Flood Impact (Afflux) Practice Note and is leading development of the Victorian Urban Drainage Manual — the definitive reference for drainage design in Victoria.
